Ancestry. Land. Medicine...
Daughter of an educator and grand-daughter of community builders, I spent over a decade in the healthcare industry advocating for the merging of global health + community development.
As a health scientist, I study ancient practice of ‘global home medicine’ and its erasure from contemporary health systems.
I teach that power lies in demystifying health lingo, and encouraging the creation of home-centered health plans focused on our skills and assets.
I am a conservationist of the remedies, skills, and grassroots movements living in the memory and kitchens of our elders. I believe it’s time we reconnect with the healing language our grandmothers understood; that within our stories and communities, lie our commission & cure.
Health Scientist. Educator. Community Developer.
“I will continue what my great-grandfather began. Hobbstown, a NJ safe haven enclave, was built & founded by 3 brothers escaping their heinous environment in Georgia plagued by Ku Klux Klan in the 1920’s. It celebrates a 100 year legacy of community building.”
“Community development & healing are my call and birth rite beginning with
revitalizing the traditions that kept us alive for centuries. Welcome to the safe space for future home medics and medicine women.
